Chicago, take 2 + Wisconsin weekend

July 7th-14th, 2014

I recently returned to one of my favorite places, Chicago. To read about my first visit, click here!

The family I babysit for invited me to tag along, because they know how much I love Chicago. I also helped out with the kids during the trip. After a ten hour drive, we were ready to eat. What better food than a Chicago favorite?
Tropic Delight and Bacon BBQ Chicken stuffed pizza from Giordano's. Best pizza ever!
Would you just look at that?
P.S. They deliver anywhere!

Day 2: Hyde Park, my old stomping grounds! We visited the Museum of Science and Industry, which is awesome! We were there almost all day and did not see everything in the museum.
I can't figure out how to turn this, but you get the idea. Science is fun!
So is exploring!
Love this.
It's about time!

This nifty machine displays your blood vessels.

Papa Scott and I took our own LATE ride. Our route was up the lake front to Navy Pier and back from Hyde Park, 16.5 miles. I've talked a lot about how one of my favorite things to do was bike or run the lake front trail. I took pictures this time so you can see for yourself just how awesome the view is!

On the north side of Navy Pier, looking towards the city. So beautiful!

The hospital gang!
Portillo's infamous chocolate cake shake. Yes, there is actual pieces of cake in the shake.
That is supposed to be the Wisconsin state sign.
If you squint and use your imagination, this is a great picture!

A perfect summer day.
